IN LSB MEETING, MAYOR DADAH CALLS FOR UNIFIED APPROACH TO TACKLE SCHOOL BULLYING
The Local School Board (LSB), chaired by City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, convened on September 15 to discuss major upcoming activities and education-related concerns in the city. Among the highlights were preparations for the 2025 World Teachers’ Day Celebration, the 2025 Regional Indigenous Peoples Education (IPED) Summit, the reconstitution of the board’s membership, updates on the city’s hosting of the 2026 Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet, and a proposal to include TESDA as part of the LSB. LGU-ISABELA NUTRITION PROGRAMS UNDERGO REGIONAL ASSESSMENT
The City Government of Isabela, through the City Nutrition Action Office, underwent the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Protocol for Year 2024, LGU Category, September 22. The assessment was facilitated by the National Nutrition Council (NNC) IX, together with the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team composed of NNC IX Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Nimfa Ekong, Nutrition Officer II Rowence Zorilla, Commission on Population IX Community Development Assistant Mary Jane Jocutan, and Nutrition Officer III Elton Pelegrino.
