Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman personally led the awarding ceremony for the winners of the Hilal: Crescent Moon Making Contest and the Pag Lukis: Art of Calligraphy Contest (Ramadhan Special), organized by the City Tourism Office under the leadership of City Tourism Officer Claudio Ramos II, March 2, in celebration of the 2026 National Arts Month and in observance of the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
In the Hilal: Crescent Moon Making Contest (Ramadan Special), Qasim Tapsi emerged as champion and received P8,000; Romel Reston placed second and received P5,000, while Abukhair Dalmasa secured third place and received P2,000.
Meanwhile, in the Pag Lukis: Art of Calligraphy Contest (Ramadan Special), Bin-Khaider Ladja (Entry No. 3) was declared champion and received P5,000; Ramia Maunih (Entry No. 12) took second place and received P3,000, while Khaidar Jalmani (Entry No. 2) claimed third place and received P2,000. Non-winning participants were also recognized with P500 each as a gesture of appreciation.
Separately, Mayor Turabin-Hataman also led the awarding of the IsaTV Online Challenge winners. The winner of the “0 Like on Comment” challenge received 10 kilograms of rice, while the winner of the “2016 Throwback” challenge received 5 kilograms of rice. Three winners of the “Spin the Wheel” challenge and five winners of the “What’s in the Bag” challenge were likewise awarded 5 kilograms of rice each. Also recognized were the winners of the Ramadan 2026 Virtual Naseehat Trivia, wherein ten winners received 10 kilograms of rice and IsaTV merchandise. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
