The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, sent off its delegates, March 02, to the 2026 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), which will be held in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. A total of 281 delegates will represent the city, including 188 campus journalists, 76 school paper advisers, and 17 delegation officials.
In her message, Mayor Turabin-Hataman encouraged the delegates to showcase their skills, uphold journalistic integrity, and take pride in representing Isabela City. She emphasized that the RSPC is not only a venue for competition but also an opportunity for learning, growth, and leadership development for the city’s student journalists.
The send-off highlights the city government’s continued support for educational initiatives, youth empowerment, and the promotion of responsible and high-quality journalism among students. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
