The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, warmly welcomed renowned travel content creator Kyle “Kulas” Jennermann and his wife during a courtesy visit to Isabela City Hall on June 1.
As a gesture of appreciation for his long-standing contributions to promoting the city’s tourism and cultural identity, Kulas was awarded a commendation through a resolution passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod, sponsored by City Councilor James Abner Rodriguez.
The resolution recognizes Jennermann’s impactful work through his blog and video series Becoming Filipino, where he has consistently featured Isabela City since his first visit in 2016. Through compelling storytelling and genuine experiences, Kulas has highlighted the city’s rich culture, scenic beauty, and the enduring spirit of peace and resilience among its people.
Mayor Turabin-Hataman, together with Vice Mayor Ar-Jhemar Ajibon, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Kulas for being a positive voice for Isabela. They acknowledged how his platform has inspired pride among locals and brought national and international attention to the city as a rising destination.
Also present during the ceremony were District 1 Board Member Ahmed Djaliv Hataman, City Councilors Jeromy Casas, Yusop Abubakar, Alexis Ututalum, and Jashim Tiplani, as well as City Tourism Officer Claudio Ramos II. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
