BUSC, HASENE INT’L TO HOLD QURBANI DISTRIBUTION ON EID’L ADHA

The Basilan Ulama Supreme Council (BUSC), in partnership with international humanitarian organization Hasene International, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, represented by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma, on June 5 as part of preparations for their annual Qurbani (sacrificial meat) distribution in observance of Eid-al-Adha.
City Administrator Eisma warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the enduring partnership between BUSC and Hasene International. Now in its 14th year, the Qurbani program continues to bring meaningful support to thousands of families across the province.
Five Hasene International volunteers arrived in Basilan on June 4 to assist with this year’s distribution, which reflects the values of compassion, generosity, and community spirit at the heart of the Islamic celebration.
City Administrator Eisma reaffirmed the city’s support for the initiative, calling it a strong example of collaboration between local and international partners working to uplift the people of Basilan. (Words by E. Banding-Hadjala/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
