LOVE SETS: 34 COUPLES TIE THE KNOT AT 2025 ‘SAKAYAN KASALANG-BAYAN’

As part of the vibrant celebration of Sakayan Festival 2025, the City Government of Isabela, through its City Civil Registry Office (CCRO) headed by Dayang Mirhama Jaljalis, conducted the Kasalang Isabeleño: HAPIsabela Mass Wedding on April 30 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall. A total of 34 couples officially tied the knot during the free mass wedding ceremony.
The event, titled Kasalang Isabeleño 2025, is among the highlights of the city’s month-long celebration of its 24th Cityhood Anniversary. This year’s Sakayan Festival carries the theme: “RelationSHIPS: 24 Years of the City’s Journey Anchored in Inspiring Stewardship Towards Sailing Resilience.”
Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman personally officiated the wedding, delivering a heartfelt message to the couples. She emphasized the importance of marriage grounded in mutual respect, lasting friendship, and faith in God—elements she described as essential to a strong and enduring union.(Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M.
