𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗪𝗜 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗦 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗔 𝟱.𝟬 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 | In line with the 24th Cityhood Anniversary of the Local Government Unit of Isabela City through the initiative of City Tourism Office, the City Information Office hosted the Quizabela 5.0 Interschool Quiz Bowl where Malamawi National High School bagged the championship defeating 15 other high schools within Isabela City, April 28.
This years’ Quizabela 5.0 match was participated by over 48 high school students from 16 different schools, where each school has three high school representatives. The Quizabela 5.0 guidelines has three rounds; the Easy (1 point), Average (2 points), and Difficult (5 points) rounds, each consisting of 10 questions per round.
As the scores for easy and average rounds were calculated, the top 3 competitors were the only ones who battled for the championship. These were the Malamawi National High School, Tandung Ahas National High School, and Isabela City National High School. During the clincher rounds, MNHS and TaNHS got tie scores for the final rounds but MNHS answered first which secured the title of championship. This was followed by TaNHS as 2nd placer and ICNHS took home the 3rd place.

To honor the top 3 winners, the champion will receive P20,000, 2nd placer will take P15,000, and 3rd placer will get P12,000, each with a plaque of recognition. Meanwhile, the 13 schools will be given consolation prizes worth of P3,000 pesos, which includes certificate of appreciation as a testament for their active participation. The prizes and gift certificates will be given during the closing ceremony of the Sakayan Festival 2025.
Anchored with the theme, “RelationSHIPS: 24 Years of the City’s Journey Anchored in Inspiring Stewardship Towards Sailing Resilience,” this academic-related competition aimed at making young Isabeleños appreciate its own motherland, showcase the world class talents of its people, and celebrate the captivating wonders and its remarkable heritage not just in local—but in global aspects.
