ZPRAA 2025 MEDALISTS RECEIVE CASH INCENTIVES

The City Government of Isabela under the administration of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hamatan through its local officials and team managers, recognized the outstanding achievements of its athletes during the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet 2025. Gold medalists from various sporting events were honored and rewarded with cash incentives in appreciation of their dedication and hard work. Also present was CIO Mendry-Ann Lim.
Councilors Jay Casas and Yusop Abubakar led the recognition of athletics champions, awarding incentives to James Labastida, Mainard Rodriguez, John Rey Casinillo, Tyrone Morsles, Elham Schuck, and Abdurahman Haili for their victories on the track and field. For the arnis competition, Councilor Karel Sakkalahul acknowledged gold medalists Lea Riza Isniril, Kieffer Zhyl Muta, and James Jan Arilla, commending their skill and discipline in the sport.
In the taekwondo event, Councilor Abner Rodriguez presented the award to gold medalist Prince Saud Abil, who demonstrated exceptional performance in his matches. Meanwhile, swimmer Gardo Usman also received special recognition for securing gold medals in their respective swimming events.
Adding to the celebration, Division Sports Officer Dr. Arnel Hajan personally handed P1,000 to each gold medalist as an additional token of appreciation for their dedication and excellence in representing Isabela City. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
