Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman warmly welcomed the young achievers and their mentors—winners of the 21st National Science and Math Quest 2025—who paid a courtesy visit following their outstanding achievements in the competition held from February 22-23 in Baguio City. In recognition of their excellence, the mayor awarded them with incentives to celebrate their hard work and success.
Among the winners was Rafaelle Liam Montaño from Malamawi Central Elementary School, who secured first place in the Sci-Dama Power Patrol event under the guidance of coaches Jennifer Cariaga and Emil Jacquias. In the Environmental Science Quiz Bee, Fatima Shadyn Iklaman of Isabela Central Elementary Pilot School earned second place, coached by Kathlyn Jean Imbo.
Meanwhile, in the Science Investigatory Project – Applied Science (Elementary Level) category, Abdurahman Latip, Kyshydra Idris, and Fatima Baladji from Isabela East Central Elementary School placed fifth under the mentorship of coaches Gina Martin, Jasmine Peñaflor, and Herman Patrimonio.
