In observance of the 29th National Autism Consciousness Week, the Special Needs Education Program of Isabela Central Elementary School, led by Principal Josiah Tuballa, in partnership with the City Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office under CPDAO Gemma Casas-Paculio, held the “Angels Walk for Autism” on January 30.
With the theme “Pag-angat ng mga Lider para sa Pagsulong ng Lipunang Walang Naiiwan,” the walk from ICEPS to Plaza Misericordia served as a call for awareness, acceptance, and empowerment of individuals with autism. This initiative aligns with Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman’s priority agenda, “Care for the Vulnerable Members of Society,” and echoes the goals of Proclamation No. 711, which seeks to foster a supportive environment that enables autistic individuals to live with dignity and contribute meaningfully to society.
