The initiative aimed to promote inclusivity and gender sensitivity in public spaces, underscoring the city government’s commitment to fostering equity and respect for all citizens.
The participants were employees of the CGSO, who actively engaged in the discussions and activities. The program began with welcoming remarks by Supervising Administrative Officer Vilmor Morales, followed by a presentation of the GADvocaserye AVP.
The main session, facilitated by Gender Advocate Jeanette Climaco-Rojas, focused on strategies, practices, and laws that protect women and support the creation of gender-sensitive spaces. The session offered participants essential knowledge and tools to advance inclusivity and equity within their work environment and public spaces.
An open forum encouraged attendees to share their insights, raise concerns, and propose suggestions, fostering a meaningful exchange of ideas. A testimony further emphasized the importance and impact of inclusive spaces, providing a deeply personal perspective. The event concluded with the awarding of tokens and certificates, led by CGSO Strong, in recognition of the active participation and contributions of attendees. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M.
