In keeping with a tradition of inclusivity amidst diversity initiated by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, major landmarks in Isabela City are lit up in time for the Christmas season.
Unveiled during the annual Alumbra 2024: The HAPIsabela Christmas Switch On, December 2, the City Tourism Office led by the Philippines’ Best City Tourism Officer Claudio Ramos II in collaboration with the City General Service Office headed by CGSO Eugene Strong decked the Isabela City Hall, Plaza Misericordia, Plaza Rizal, JW Strong Boulevard and the Isabela City Park at the Fuego-Fuego Beachfront in Tabiawan with festive decorations to usher a simple yet heartfelt observance of what is often dubbed as the “most wonderful time of the year.”
This year’s decorative ensemble was inspired by “The Nutcracker,” an 1892 two-act classical ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and 2015’s “The Gingerbread Man Loose at Christmas,” which is a children’s picture book written by Laura Murray and illustrated by Mike Lowery.
