Tasked to craft a comprehensive multisectoral development plans for and on behalf of all Isabeleños, the City Development Council chaired by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman met on September 24 to discuss matters that required its assent.
Presided by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma as the representative of Mayor Turabin-Hataman, the body heard the presentation of City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Uso Dan Salasim on the proposed expansion of CCTV coverage in the city that includes the procurement of high-definition cameras. CDRRMO Salasim also mentioned the intent to dredge Baluno River to provide relief from the perennial flooding in the said community, and the development of an exposure database to collate relevant demographic information across all 45 barangays of the city. Meanwhile, a similar proposal on CCTVs was also presented by JO2 Ryan Jay Dagohoy from the BJMP Isabela City Jail.
Both proposals were subsequently endorsed for approval.
Present during the meeting were Council Alan Ritchie Luis Biel representing Vice Mayor Jhul Kifli Salliman, Councilor James Abner Rodriguez, ABC President Abral Abdurahman, CDPC EnP Gay Palagtiosa, Nagdilaab Foundation Executive Director Miriam Suacito and Sunrise Punong Barangay Concepcion Andajao. Also in attendance were other personnel from BJMP-ICJ led by JO3 Al-Yashier Basirul, and staff from the City Budget Office and the City Planning and Development Office.
