MAKILAHOK, MAKIALAM, I-FOI MO NA YAN

Bilang bahagi ng pagsusumikap para sa bukas na pamamahala sa Lungsod ng Isabela, alinsunod sa layunin ng administrasyong Turabin-Hataman, nagdaos ang Tanggapan ng Pampublikong Impormasyon ng pamamahagi ng mga information, education, and communication materials. Pinangunahan ito ni CIO Mendry-Ann Lim, na naghatid ng mga radio at stickers para sa Freedom of Information campaign sa 50 miyembro ng Black Riders Association, ika-19 ng Setyembre sa Barangay Tabuk.
Ipinaliwanag ni FOI Focal Shermina Sualing ang kahalagahan ng pag-alam ng impormasyon patungkol sa pamahalaan at kung paano humingi ng pampublikong dokumento sa pamamagitang ng FOI online system. Gamit ang QR code na maaring i-scan ng smartphone, ay maaari ka ng makahingi ng mga impormasyon patungkol sa gobyerno. Ibinahagi rin niya ang mahalagang tungkulin ng mga Isabeleños na makialam at makibahagi sa gobyerno.
Personal na dumalo si Punong Lungsod Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman at masayang ibinahagi ang kahalagahan ng aktibong pakikilahok ng mga mamamayan sa pamahalaan. Pinuri rin niya ang Black Riders Association, na kinilala ng Kagawaran ng Paggawa at Empleyo (DOLE) bilang accredited na asosasyon. Ang kanilang dedikasyon at pagsusumikap umano ay tunay na nagbibigay inspirasyon sa iba pang mamamayan na makilahok sa mga inisyatibang pampubliko.
Bukod sa 50 trycicle drivers, kaama rin sa nasabing maikling pulong ang tagapayo ng Black Riders Association na si Misriya Tupay, LGU Isabela City CSO Focal Norhaiya Macusang, Dr. Sitti Hairan Ibrahim bilang kinatawan ng Isabela City People’s Council at mga kawani ng CIO.
Layunin ng aktibidad na ito na higit pang ipalaganap ang kaalaman at pagpapahalaga sa pagiging bukas o transparency sa pamahalaan, upang mas mapalakas ang tiwala ng mga mamamayan sa kanilang lokal na pamahalaan at idiin na sa Lungsod ng Isabela, ang bawat Isabeleño ay may karapatan sa pampublikong impormasyon.
