Good Governance Isabela Caravan made its 11th community round at Barangay Begang where more than 100 residents actively joined the GoGo training session held at Begang Multipurpose Covered Court, September 7.
For this month’s GoGo caravan, Jeanette Climaco-Rojas, Human Rights Advocate and Nilda Delos Reyes, Philippine Information Agency-Basilan Infocenter Manager took their second session as the speakers of the GoGo training program.
Rose Ann Cugal, one of the participants under the women sector shared that in order to achieve good governance, it is their fundamental right to choose leaders who can listen to the needs of its constituents.
Other participants like Mary Jane Ababol, Kristina Irong, and Kenneth Mangkabong also expressed that Isabela City’s progress is shown in terms of the developments in the tourism sector, installation of street lights and CCTV cameras in every barangay, more accessible public facilities and other free government services.
GoGo Isabela Caravan was made possible with the help and support of Begang BIO Catherine Siose, Begang Officer-In-Charge Allan Casas, and Barangay Tanods. Also present in the GoGo session were Jham-Jham Kalbi, Elvic John Obedencia, Joey Castillo as the GoGo secretariats including Irene Sanoy-Reyes as the GoGo documenter.
Good Governance Isabela Caravan or GoGo Isabela is a component of the LGU-Isabela City’s Information Revolution program under the administration of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman. It is an overarching program composed of series of information dissemination activities, which empowers all Isabeleños to join, contribute, and be part of achieving a transparent, participatory, effective and efficient local government.
