CDC MEETS ANEW; UTILIZATION OF 20% DF, ISABELA-MALAMAWI BRIGE, TACKLED

The City Development Council, chaired by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman and presided over by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma, convened on June 18 to discuss key infrastructure projects.

During the meeting, the Department of Public Works and Highways led by DPWH Deputy Project Manager Oliver Hernandez presented the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) for the SP2: Isabela City-Malamawi Island Bridge, funded under ADB Loan No. 3631 PHI: IGCMRSP. This project features a series of long-span steel box girders that will connect Barangay Eastside of mainland Isabela City to Barangay Diki on Malamawi Island. Classified as a National Road, the bridge will have two lanes (one for each direction), with a total length of 2.24 km and a design speed of 60 km/hr., encompassing both bridge and road structures.

Additionally, the meeting focused on the proposed realignment of various projects under the 20% Development Fund for the calendar year 2024, presented by City Engineer Engr. Reynaldo Dagohoy. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
